Huzzah the end o May
With its blazing blue skies
and its fluffy white clouds
full of future rainy promise
Huzzah the start of summer
soon sprinting down toward
boiling hot temperatures and
booming thunder echoing
lightening laced heavens
Anyway…Finished taking a class on creating a pitch and query letter. Now I just have to do the final revamp of the book and send those queries out. I also need to create the much dreaded synopsis – so I’m off to search the internet for a class on that.
In case you’re curious, here’s the 10 second elevator pitch for Ghost on Tour:
Haunted by the ghost of her mentor, a concert tour manager struggles to keep a heavy metal band safe from an angry drug lord while fighting her attraction to the charismatic lead singer.
Demon in the Studio’s pitch will say something like: The new album and career of a heavy metal band hang in the balance while its lead singer fights the demon possessing his beloved’s soul. ::shurg:: That’ll be revisited when I finish that book.
Book Three’s pitch might say something like: A man will do anything to rescue his soulmate, even if it means selling himself into eternal slavery. That story is still in the back-brain on simmer.
